Brainiax Puzzles (“Brainiax: Logic and Word Puzzles”, “Brainiax”, “the App”) is developed by Brainiax Developers.
Brainiax is designed as an offline-first puzzle game for teens and adults. Core puzzle gameplay and puzzle generation can operate locally on your device, while certain optional and supporting features use Google Firebase, Google authentication services, and Google advertising services.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, why it is processed, how it may be shared or made visible to other users, how advertising privacy choices are handled, how long information may be retained, and the choices and rights available to you.
For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, the entity responsible for the Brainiax-specific processing described in this policy is:

You may use this address for privacy questions, rights requests, grievances, or account-deletion requests.
Because Brainiax is intended for a mixed teen-and-adult audience, the App may ask for your date of birth using a neutral age screen before advertising services are allowed to operate.
The date you enter is used on-device to determine an age-treatment category for advertising and privacy purposes. Brainiax is designed not to send or store your exact date of birth in Brainiax cloud storage. A derived age-treatment state may be stored locally on your device so the App can apply the appropriate advertising safeguards.
Users whose age has not yet been established, and users who are treated as children or minors for advertising purposes, receive more restrictive advertising treatment.
Brainiax Puzzles uses Firebase Authentication.
The App may create an anonymous Firebase identity so cloud-supported features can operate without requiring a traditional username-and-password account.
You may optionally link or sign in using Google. Depending on the authentication method you use, information processed by Google and Firebase may include:
Brainiax Puzzles does not require a phone number or a custom Brainiax password.
Brainiax may assign a pseudonymous Brainiax Player ID to support account-backed public identity, leaderboards, and social features.
Where the feature is available, you may choose an optional Brainiax username. Your Player ID and chosen username may be visible to other Brainiax users where needed for public identity, lookup, leaderboard, and social features.
Social information may include:
Friend requests and friendship records are intended to be available only to participating users, except for information that is separately public through Player ID, username, or leaderboard functionality.
Brainiax does not require your real name for these social features.
Brainiax uses Cloud Firestore for limited account and gameplay metadata.
Cloud-synced information may include:
Brainiax Puzzles does not use Firestore to store puzzle boards, puzzle solutions, clue grids, generated puzzle JSON, active in-progress board state, user-entered puzzle cells, answer keys, literal word-puzzle answers, literal word-puzzle paths, or raw move histories.
Brainiax Puzzles provides Daily and weekly leaderboards for eligible Daily Challenge results.
Eligible leaderboard entries may include a pseudonymous Brainiax Player ID together with gameplay metadata such as:
Leaderboard entries are designed not to contain email addresses, puzzle boards, solutions, literal puzzle answers, or raw move histories. Public leaderboard metadata may be readable by other Brainiax users through the App’s leaderboard functionality.
Where enabled, Brainiax Puzzles uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand general app usage, reliability, and product performance.
Analytics may include information such as:
Brainiax Puzzles does not intentionally send puzzle boards, puzzle solutions, clue grids, literal word-puzzle answers or targets, or raw move histories to Analytics.
Brainiax Puzzles uses Firebase Crashlytics in enabled environments to identify crashes, errors, and stability problems.
Diagnostic information may include:
Brainiax is designed not to include Firebase UIDs, puzzle boards, solutions, clue grids, literal word answers, or raw move histories in Brainiax-supplied Crashlytics context.
Brainiax Puzzles uses Firebase Remote Config to safely change certain application settings without requiring an app update.
This can include feature availability, advertising behavior, rollout controls, and other configuration values. Remote Config may process installation and technical information necessary to provide configuration values.
Brainiax Puzzles includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Production advertising may be enabled or disabled through Brainiax configuration and may not be active in every release or environment.
Where advertising is enabled, Google Mobile Ads may automatically process information such as:
Google may use this information to serve and measure advertising, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security and compliance, and improve advertising services, subject to applicable settings, consent, and law.
Brainiax uses age-treatment controls for its mixed teen-and-adult audience. Users treated as children or whose age category is not yet established receive more restrictive advertising treatment. Brainiax is designed not to request unrestricted personalized advertising until the App has determined that the user is eligible for adult advertising treatment.
For eligible adult users, advertising may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or otherwise restricted depending on region, device settings, applicable law, Google policy, and consent choices.
Brainiax Puzzles uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage advertising/privacy choices where required. Where Google determines that privacy options must be made available, Brainiax provides a Privacy Choices option in the App.
Brainiax Puzzles does not sell your personal information.
Brainiax stores information locally so the App can remain responsive and playable offline.
Local information may include:
Information that remains solely on your device is not transmitted merely because it is stored locally.
Brainiax public legal and support pages may be hosted using GitHub Pages. When you visit these pages, GitHub may process ordinary website-request and technical information under GitHub’s own terms and privacy practices. This website-hosting activity is separate from core Brainiax puzzle gameplay.
We use information processed by Brainiax Puzzles to:
Brainiax Puzzles does not sell or rent personal information.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or related law applies, Brainiax relies on one or more lawful bases depending on the specific processing and circumstances:
The precise lawful basis can depend on your location, age, the feature involved, and whether the processing is optional. Contact us if you would like information about the basis applied to a particular type of processing.
Brainiax Puzzles uses services provided by Google, including where applicable:
Information may be transmitted to and processed by Google as necessary to provide those services. These services operate under Google’s applicable terms, privacy policies, security measures, and data-processing arrangements.
Certain Brainiax information is intentionally visible to other users as part of the product, including public Player IDs, optional public usernames where enabled, and eligible leaderboard entries. Friend requests and friendship relationships are intended to be restricted to participating users rather than publicly listed.
Brainiax may also disclose information where required by law, necessary to protect users or the service, or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security incidents, or abuse.
We do not sell user data.
Google, Firebase, GitHub, and other service providers may process information using infrastructure located in countries other than the country where you live.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the relevant service provider and Brainiax will rely on applicable transfer mechanisms and contractual or legal safeguards as appropriate to the processing involved.
Brainiax Puzzles uses Firebase Authentication, Firestore security rules, and other technical controls to restrict access to private account metadata.
Most account-specific Firestore data is restricted to the authenticated account that owns it. Public Player identity records and leaderboard information are intentionally readable where required by those features, while social relationship records are intended to be limited to participating users.
Brainiax is designed to keep puzzle boards, solutions, clue grids, in-progress puzzle state, literal word-answer/path data, and raw move histories out of cloud storage.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable measures designed to protect the information processed by the App.
Local gameplay information remains on your device until removed by the App, cleared through device settings, or removed when the App is uninstalled, depending on the type of information and platform behavior.
Account-linked Brainiax cloud information is generally retained while your Brainiax account remains active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the relevant feature, maintain integrity and security, resolve disputes, or comply with law.
Public Player identity, username, social, and leaderboard records may remain available for the relevant feature lifecycle unless they are removed through account deletion, product cleanup, or another applicable process.
When a valid account-deletion request is completed, Brainiax deletes account-linked Brainiax cloud data associated with the account, including the private account tree and, where applicable, matching public identity, username reservation, leaderboard, friend-request, and friendship records, subject to limited retention where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement.
Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Mobile Ads, UMP, GitHub, and other service providers may retain service-generated analytics, diagnostic, advertising, consent, security, backup, or technical information according to their own retention settings, terms, and legal obligations. Deleting a Brainiax Firebase Authentication account does not necessarily delete independently retained service-provider records.
You may request deletion of your Brainiax Puzzles account and associated Brainiax cloud data.
If you have access to the App, use the account deletion option available from the Profile/account-management area.
You may also request deletion without the App using our external account-deletion page:
Delete your Brainiax Puzzles account and cloud data
Account deletion is permanent. Brainiax cloud cleanup may be performed asynchronously after a valid deletion request is accepted so related private and public records can be removed safely.
A completed account deletion applies to account-linked Brainiax cloud data such as:
Local information remaining on a device is separate from cloud account deletion and may be removed by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.
Some service-generated analytics, diagnostic, advertising, security, backup, or legally required records may persist according to applicable service-provider retention rules or legal requirements.
Depending on your location, age-treatment category, and the services available to you, you may have choices concerning advertising and data processing.
Where required for eligible users, Brainiax uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to present consent choices. Where applicable, the App provides a Privacy Choices option that allows you to review or change advertising privacy choices.
You may choose not to link your anonymous Brainiax identity to a Google account. Core puzzle gameplay is designed to remain available without requiring a Google account upgrade.
You may contact us to ask questions about your personal information, exercise applicable privacy rights, make a grievance, or request account deletion.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, and subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may have rights including:
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority responsible for your location.
To exercise a right, contact brainiaxdevelopers@gmail.com. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity and locate the relevant account or records before fulfilling a request.
Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, or related Indian data-protection requirements apply, including as relevant provisions come into force, you may have rights and choices such as:
To make a privacy request or grievance, contact brainiaxdevelopers@gmail.com. We will handle valid requests in accordance with applicable law and may ask for reasonable information needed to verify identity and locate the relevant account or records.
Brainiax Puzzles is designed for teens and adults and is not primarily directed to young children.
Because some teen users may be treated as children or minors under applicable law or platform policy, Brainiax uses a neutral age-screen approach and applies more restrictive advertising safeguards to users who are not established as adults.
Brainiax is designed so that:
Where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent for a particular processing activity, Brainiax will apply the required treatment before that processing is enabled.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe personal information relating to a child has been collected or processed inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Brainiax uses automated software to generate puzzles, apply game rules, determine leaderboard eligibility from objective game metadata, apply age-treatment categories entered through the age screen, and apply advertising/consent configuration.
Brainiax does not intend to use solely automated processing to make legal or similarly significant decisions about users. If this changes, this policy will be updated as required.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Brainiax features, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change.
When the policy is updated, the Last updated date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate method where required.
